How we treat
Three stages, in this order.
One kind of appointment: an unhurried session, one-to-one, with the therapist who will see you through. This is what happens in it.
The path
The evaluation, the plan, the work.
- 1. The evaluation
- A full session. We talk through what brought you in, look at how you move, and start treatment the same visit. You do not come back a second time to begin.
- 2. The plan
- You leave knowing what we think is going on, what we intend to do about it, and roughly how many visits that takes. If we are wrong about any of it, we will say so and change course.
- 3. The work
- The same therapist each visit, for the same full session. Hands-on treatment, and a program short enough that you will actually do it between appointments.
The treatment itself
Hands first.
- Manual therapy
- Skilled hands-on work to settle pain and restore movement in joints and soft tissue. This is the part most clinics have quietly stopped making time for.
- Therapeutic exercise
- Movement prescribed for what is actually driving the problem, and built to fit the life you have rather than an ideal one.
- Dry needling
- Used where it helps, as part of a plan rather than as the plan.
- Post-operative and sports rehabilitation
- Care before and after surgery, and for the sports and spinal injuries that never reach an operating room.
- Return to running
- Gait analysis, strength testing and a graded return to load, so the first run back does not become the next injury.
