What we treat Elbow

UCL Sprain/Injury

The Ulnar Collateral Ligament (UCL) is a critical stabilizer of the inner elbow, often stressed during overhead throwing sports. A sprain or tear can impact your performance and daily life, but with expert concierge care, full recovery is within reach.

A UCL sprain involves a stretch or tear of the ligament on the inside of the elbow. This injury is most common in baseball pitchers and other athletes who perform repetitive overhead motions, leading to instability and pain during activity.

Sharp or dull pain localized to the inside of the elbow, especially during throwing or gripping tasks.

Common Symptoms

A feeling of the joint 'giving way' or loosening, often accompanied by a pop during the initial injury.

Tingling or numbness in the ring and pinky fingers, indicating potential irritation of the ulnar nerve.

How Physical Therapy Diagnoses It

Diagnosis begins with a clinical examination of the elbow’s medial stability. We perform stress tests like the Valgus Stress Test and the Moving Valgus Stress Test to assess the integrity of the UCL. Our specialists analyze your history, throwing mechanics, and pain patterns to distinguish between a partial tear and total instability, ensuring a precise recovery roadmap.

Our Hands-On Approach to Targeted Recovery

MANUAL THERAPY & MOBILIZATION

PRECISION DRY NEEDLING

STABILITY & STRENGTH LOADING

Gently squeeze a soft stress ball or rolled towel. Hold for 5 seconds and repeat 10 times.

Slowly straighten and bend your elbow within a pain-free range. Repeat 10-15 times.

Starting Exercises

These gentle exercises help restore stability and controlled movement to the elbow joint during early recovery.

Use your opposite hand to provide resistance while trying to move your wrist up or down.

Perform gentle shoulder blade squeezes to support the kinetic chain of the arm.
